KWKC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering young adults to unlock their greatest potential through self-development events, coaching and scholarships. Our interactive learning experiences shatter limiting beliefs and help budding entrepreneurs, college students, and next-generation leaders define their personal mission and discover their path to a fulfilled life.
The Pittsburgh Promise
The Pittsburgh Promise promotes high educational aspirations among urban youth, funds scholarships for post-secondary access, and fuels a prepared and diverse regional workforce. We envision a future where all our urban youth are equipped to reach post-secondary success, our public schools serve all children excellently, our city is flourishing in all its neighborhoods, and our workforce is widely diverse and highly skilled to advance a region that is good and just for all.
Women of Southwestern PA
WOMEN’s mission is to help underprivileged women and children in southwestern Pennsylvania. As part of that mission and in addition to our philanthropic event, money is disbursed from September through June throughout Western Pennsylvania to help charities with emergency situations. An Emergency Fund is also available for various emergency requests during the year.
Animal Friends
For more than 75 years, Animal Friends has been saving, impacting, engaging, enriching and affecting the lives of the pets and people of our region. Since our humble beginnings in 1943, we have grown into a full-service companion animal welfare organization serving the pets and people of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. With our progressive programs, Animal Friends is leading the way toward making our community a safer and more humane place. Simply put, we’re thinking outside the cage!

At Veterans Place, we uphold our promise to make veterans' lives better by fulfilling our daily commitment to connecting veterans to tools that will help them build better lives and become self-sufficient.
